Éric Vachon, acting Vice-President, Corporate Strategy and Innovation, and Chief Financial Officer
Éric Vachon was recently appointed as acting Vice-President, Corporate Strategy and Innovation, and Chief Financial Officer.
Éric's vast experience in the space sector spans over 25 years. He joined the Canadian Space Agency (CSA) in and has held multiple leadership roles.
Starting in , Éric served as Director General for the CSA's Space Science and Technology Branch, where he provided executive leadership as it relates to developing and maintaining a national space capacity and positioning the Canadian space sector for global opportunities. He was responsible for the CSA's $80M Space Capacity Development Program.
Prior to that, Éric was Director of Engineering and Capability Demonstration and Director of Technology and Science Development, where he successively headed the CSA's technology demonstration and R&D funding programs in collaboration with national and international partners as well as with the Canadian industrial and academic sectors.
Éric has also held a variety of senior-level corporate positions, including Director of Security of Facilities.
He holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and a master's degree in space science.
